In this drum lesson we are playing a samba foot ostinato - the first and last sixteenth note of each beat on the bass drum and the hi hats on the '+' of each beat.
Playing a sub-division of eighth note triplets over the top of this and playing in three time signatures - we are phrasing various rudiments on the snare drum and when comfortable improvising them around the drum kit.
