Details:
The Makers were a band formed by Eddie Rayner and Brian Baker in 1989 after Eddie and Brian wrote and recorded a film score for the movie “Rikki and Pete”.
The songs were written and early recording done at Eddies studio in Melbourne. At that stage it was an Atari computer and a Tascam 8 track tape recorder.
The tracks were then taken to Platinium studios in Melbourne for additional recording. Eddies old mate from the Split Enz days, Hugh Padgham was bought in from London to mix the CD.
In 1990, Eddie and Brian, along with drummer, Michael Barker, toured Australia with The B52’s.
This is big sounding 90’s pop music, Eddies great keyboard playing and arranging, Brian’s guitars, soaring vocals and intelligent lyrics, and Hugh’s classic mixes make this a classy outing.
