This record is a reflection of my musical influences throughout my live and a musical voyage through time and space from the baroque in europe to the contemporary jazz in North America. The beautifully woven polyphonic music of the baroque-era has always been a part of my listening and studying, represented with J.S. Bach and C. Cimarosa. My love for latin-american music began with the instruction to drums and percussion in my youth, playing salsa and music of brazil. The odd switches in the Lauro walzes between 3/4 and 6/8 sound like a link from baroque and jazz. North american Jazz music is my greatest love. I chose two compositions of my great heros: C. Corea and L. Breau.
