RISTBAND is from San Diego California
This album is Ristbands 2nd release. Balancing Act was mainly written by Dave Gladish but has songs from Ed Been and their first instrumental penned by Kevin Irvin, Billy Wear and Dave. The new tunes still have a Blues-based drive but you will still hear the occasional Moog synth making a guest appearance. Straight ahead rockers like How We Roll, Lost and Found, and WDEHTMSWY plus southern rockin slide on Medicine Man dont let this album slow down. They kept tradition with their first album Underpowered and Overdriven by adding a cover song and one guest vocalist.
Cover Tune- "Over, Under, Sideways, Down" (Yardbirds). We love Jeff Beck! And took some liberties with the outtro jam section!
Guests - Scott Proseus(slide) and Kirk Cumming (vox) from San Diego''s southern rock band FALCON MOHAWK.
Song title "Medicine Man"
The cover art features Adelaide Marcus of "The Shimmy Sisters" and Danyavaad. Depicting a Hindu goddess, balancing four symbols from Hindu teachings...lotus, conch, skull, fire. A somewhat deep interpretation of what we all have to balance through get through life.
