Details:
A raw organic feel, minimalistic production, poetic lyrics and heartfelt vocal storytelling is what this album is about.
Vintage MU is a retrospective collection of vintage analog recordings that have been digitally remastered. It might be
considered a debut album, but it is more of a prequel to Mu’s upcoming album of 12 new original songs.

Vintage MU includes four original songs by Mu, two original interpretations of cover songs: J.D. Souther’s "Prisoner
in Disguise" and Lennon and McCartney’s "You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away", and "I Wonder" an original art piece
co-written with long-time friend and bassist Robert Trujillo (way before he joined Metallica – this is some truly vintage
Robert Trujillo on bass!). "I Wonder" is an artistic composition for a dramatic film montage about two lovers who are
unexpectedly torn apart after one of them is kidnapped. As time passes their faith and hope of being reunited fades.

Vintage Mu is the first album released by Buddha Brain Records. Mu felt that the organic feel and soul of the music was
more important than trying to make the album sound too slick or overly produced. She is a firm believer that "less is more"
-especially when it comes to art. Insightful and honest, Mu’s music resonates on the collective human level where love
and hope, suffering and pain, and everything in between resides.

Vintage Mu is currently available for mp3 downloads from CD Baby and music distributors worldwide. The CD will be available in early May. Stay tuned for Mu''s next album of all new original songs due out later this year. Thank you for supporting independent artists!

BIO:
Mu was born in Seattle, WA. She grew up listening to Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Carole King, Bob Dylan, Neil Young,
CSNY, Leonard Cohen, and Carly Simon among others. Progressive "modern folk" roots can be felt and heard in her
straightforward no-frills soulful delivery and perceptive lyrical observations. Mu is a natural-born storyteller whose acting
roots go back to childhood, when she began working as an actor, singer/dancer, and commercial model in Los Angeles.
After several years, Mu decided to take a sabbatical from acting and focus on music for awhile. She applied to the Grove
School of Music, a small private world-class music school in Los Angeles. After auditioning, she was accepted into the
Vocal Program and graduated with the Vocal Achievement Award for outstanding attitude, scholarship, and talent.

“Marti is one of the most talented people we’ve had in the Vocal Program and also one of the hardest working.
She is not only a very talented singer, but also an excellent actress and songwriter.”
- Mike Campbell, Program Director, Vocal Program, Grove School of Music
