Michael James Wachner, is a producer, songwriter and musician who resides Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a self-taught musician and performer for many years, Michael began writing songs in the early 90’s reflecting his process of spiritual awakenings and the self-revelations that accompanied them. His release of “Shine On’ in 2002, which he completely produced, arranged, performed and mastered, was the first CD with themes and lyrics in this genre.
Growing up not far from Detroit as a child, the influence of Motown’s harmonies is easily heard in his music and his soulful lead vocals. Later on, artists such as Elton John, Gino Vanelli, Peter Gabriel and of the course the amazing productions of the Beatles greatly influenced his style of performing and songwriting, adding a mix of soul, rock, blues and even jazz to his palette of musical options.
It was not until Michael began his spiritual awakening in earnest that he felt compelled to write and compose songs. As a producer with many years of experience working with bands and vocalists, Michael has developed a unique approach to arranging intricate and uplifting vocal harmonies that are sure to leave you feeling inspired and touched to the heart.
Michael brings to the performance table his complete and uncensored passion, and the lyrics he writes are well written with a clear conviction of belief in the power of their insight. All of the songs from the album release “Shine On” were received in full from dreams and meditations, an offering he believes from the angels and celestial beings of light, and as such, encoded with a deeply powerful energy of love that radiates from his heartfelt compositions.
Michael is currently work on a new release, moving on from the personal spiritual introspection of “Shine On” to revelations and observations of the “shift” of the planetary consciousness that is affecting every living being on Earth at this time. Look for the new release in the autumn of 2011.
