Details:
Born in the early-80''s in a musty basement in Pennsauken, NJ, John Chomiczewski and Gregg Delso formed The Cellar Dwellers, a melodic song-writing collaboration that soon began playing it''s brand of original music in local venues with various guest musicians from the South Jersey area. Penning some forty or so original tunes, the duo was soon joined full-time by bassist Mike McNamara, and quickly began expanding their performances throughout the tri-state area up until the early 90''s when, as life would have it, things suddenly came to an abrupt halt and the group mysteriously disbanded for various, yet-to-this-day, unknown reasons. Though parting friends, the three band members would have little or no contact with each other for nearly two decades. Flash forward some 20-odd years later, as Delso''s oldest son, Jonah Delso, now a talented music production major at Drexel University, wins a WMMR radio contest and gets to open a show for none other than the world-famous band Coldplay, at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA. At the same time, Chomiczewski is reading in his newspaper about some local college kid winning a contest to open up for the aforementioned renowned pop group, and wonders if this could be the same Jonah who, as a toddler, was repeatedly lugged up and down the creaky basement steps in his mama''s arms as The Cellar Dwellers diligently rehearsed the nights away oh so long ago. Unbeknownst to his former band members, bassist McNamara simultaneously digs up some old Cellar Dweller recordings left on a flimsy cassette tape and, through the wonders of modern computer technology converts the aged demos to some new-fangled digital format called "mp3." To make a short story a little longer, McNamara finds his old band mates online and forwards them the ancient recordings, now in digital form. Interest is immediately sparked and the band quickly reforms under the new name, Nowville, and it all begins once again. Long-time band acquaintance Sean Brennan soon jumps on board, rounding out the vocals, while adding guitar and keyboards. Ten new songs spring forth, as well as revamped versions of the group''s earlier material, and on April 10, 2010, the band plays its first live gig in nearly two decades (with special guest Jonah Delso!) to an amicable crowd in downtown Mt.
