"Remember Me..." Is the story of a Soldier whom goes to war and ultimately loses his life in track 8 (not coming home). Up until that point is the chaos and politics of the world and it''s weight on this soldiers mind and heart while he fights in a world conflict. This album gives voice to a valiant and good man whose life is in the end sacrificed at the alter of war at the hands of evil men on both sides of the conflict. In track 3 An Angel''s Voice (Letter from home) is what it sounds like. A letter from home written by the woman he loves in which he finds his sole source of comfort and strength to carry on.
After his death, in track 9 he faces the realization of his circumstance and sees his need to let go of his life on earth and move on. In track 10 (Remember Me, which is the title of the album) is the letter he leaves to his wife in the case of his death. When she reads it he is there with her and she feels him there. They both find peace and know they will be with each other again. Remember Me are the words not only profound to the solider and his wife in this story. But it also serves as a general concept and statement professed in the music and artwork. This album has been in the oven of my mind the last 3 years, and I am thrilled with the way it has come out. There are no words in this album, it is an instrumental. I hope you can feel the story in the spirit of the music as I had hoped to establish in it''s creation. This is my first album, I am Jonathan Hartsock. I hope you enjoy this music as much as I have enjoyed it in listening, feeling and arranging it. Enjoy. :)
