Details:
Killerball was one of the most influential Seattle grunge bands of the 1990’s.
If only that could be true…
Actually, it all began on a high school bus trip in 2003. Bandmates Oscar Lundberg, Linus Darland and Kalle Thunell spotted Jonathan Skogh drumming the hell out of a bus seat with his hands while digging the good ol’ grunge sounds coming from his CD walkman. The three were searching for a drummer, and Jonathan’s mad bus seat session made him pass the audition. Killerball was complete.
The first six years the band rocked out on the local scenes, while recording a few demos. With the intentional strategy to stay away from bigger attention, Killerball was able to explore all side tracks before doing something more official.
In the year of 2009, the band recorded the music video All That’s Good (New Generation Film). The positive reactions from friends and fans convinced them that this was something worth more than just a video. Killerball proclaimed that “we don’t care if it sounds new or old” and started to write the material for the EP St. Epone. Killerball finally entered the home-built studio in the Stockholm archipelago in 2010 to record the six-track album.
The result was a raw and simple mix of energetic songs, moving within the genres of alternative rock, hard rock, garage and indie. St. Epone was released in 2011 on their own label Six Hour Music.
