Native to Western North Carolina, the Trantham Family plays traditional mountain music on instruments hand made by Jim Trantham, the patriarch of the clan. Doug Trantham plays banjo, hammer dulcimer and guitar. Emily Trantham (age 15) sings lead vocal and plays guitar. Adam Trantham (Age 12) sings harmony vocal and plays dulcimer and fiddle. Sara Trantham (Age 8) sings. Additional guitar accompaniment provided Larry Watson and Terry Painter.
