Zareh Zatikyan aka Capital Z was born in Yerevan, Armenia on December 31st. He moved to Los Angeles when he was less than a year old. He emerged as one of the best emcees in Los Angeles in the late 90''s. Along with producer and good friend A. Chilla (Narek Ovsepyan), they linked to make a sound unlike any other. With Z''s lyrical skill, wordplay, and content, along with Chilla''s gifted production, they are out to put Armenians on the map in the rap game.
After creating a huge buzz locally with his first mixtape, "The Stranger Mixtape", Z released his second piece of work, entitled "Unsigned Hero" on September 1st of 2006. The album is destined to sell thousands of copies independently, and would sell millions with appropriate sponsorship.
In August of 2003, a terrible car accident took the lives of two of Z''s good friends, including his best friend of 14 years. Two years later Z released "Forever Young." The song has touched thousands of people. It is almost a letter written to his best friend. "I never planned for the song to be popular, I just heard the track and wanted to do a dedication to him, but it blew up." - Z
