I wrote this song as a thank you to one of
the greatest country music singers that
ever lived. A thank you for the inspiration
and music that has helped guide my
career all through the years.
The picture in this video was taken at my club, Bobby
Mackeys, in Wilder, KY @ 1981. You could never
imagine the feeling I got at the moment he
was introduced to my stage. The thoughts
that raced through my head about all the
times as a kid when I would hear him sing
on the Grand OLE Opry on Saturday night,
TV Shows on Saturday afternoon, hearing
all of his great music on the Radio and
wanting to be like him when I grew up.
There he stood on my stage, in my club.
That same inspiration and admiration
continues today and I salute you,
