David Keith Jones is from Bargoed, Wales and began vocal tuition at Leicester University in 1960. He later studied with Vera Mallett GRSM and was coached by Gerald Davies, formerly of Sadlers Wells Opera, London. From 1972 David led an opera group in St Albans while singing roles including Don Jose, Rodolfo, Alfredo and Elgar''s Gerontius. From 1985 he continued in opera and oratorio plus plays including Aykbourn''s Gosforth. David''s You Tube channel VoceVersatile should reach a million hits in 2011. This contains some of David''s earlier recordings set to video stills. From 2010 he has recorded new albums for download stores. In SchwanenGesang David sings Schubert''s last song cycle composed in 1828. David also developed the accompaniment using ''Sibelius'' software and managed the recording and distribution processes.
