Hailing from the small city of Concord, North Carolina, Damsel Down made a big impact on the local music scene in the short two years they have been playing as a band. Four musicians with very different musical backgrounds found their place in the highly competitive musical market that is Charlotte, North Carolina. With their 2010 debut release, “Now We Rise”, Damsel Down created a major buzz. The first singles, ''Shine'' and ''My Way'', were featured on commercial and internet radio stations in both the US and the UK. As a result, Damsel Down acquired many new fans at home and abroad. Playing the Main stage at Charlotte''s SpeedStreet, as well as opening for national acts Wheatus,Corey Smith,and Middle Class Rut, made 2010 a big year for Damsel Down. With the release of the new EP "Seasons" in 2011, they stand to continue right where they left off.
