With the debut release of Figurines, Distant Ground paints a melodic landscape of audio fusing both ends of the grunge/indie-rock spectrum. The inspiration behind the 4 song EP was based off of a few eccentric characters and their experiences faced at different points in life. Many of the songs take on a narrative approach while observing all different angles of society - It truly reminds us who holds the cards in life, and who could be stripped of all illusive power.
Figurines was written throughout 2008 and recorded in 2009 at a neighborhood studio in the suburbs of LA. The album was co-produced by South-African native, Bruce Fulford, who continues to engineer albums all throughout the Southwest region.
