AUBREY G. FORD was born and raised in Richmond, VA, and started playing violin at the age of six. In high school he developed an interest in contemporary music, began singing and acting in musical theatre, and picked up the bass as his principal instrument.
As a student at Connecticut College, Professor Arthur Kreiger, master of electro acoustic music, taught Aubrey the art of recording and producing music. Professor Krieger cultivated an “out of the box approach” to composition which opened Aubrey up to new possibilities.
A new passion emerged and Aubrey produced music over the next two years. Fully committed, he transferred to The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, became a full time music student, and graduated with a Degree of Bachelors of Arts in Music.
Aubrey is currently producing an album to birth a new paradigm of music that combines the philosophy of jazz improvisation with the aesthetic of contemporary electronic music. His vision emphasizes the value of live performance as an interactive energetic connection with the audience.
Aubrey recently moved to Denver, CO, to pursue a full time career in music. He is deathly afraid of Humpback Crickets.
