Details:
Duosseudo (pronounced due-oh-sue-doh) are a two-piece electronic outfit who have bravely traversed Melbourne’s gritty,
converse-wearing indie-rock scene and maintained their passion for synth-driven electro-pop with a shameless dancefloor
sensibility. A seemingly deadly career move perhaps for both Luc Wiesman and Marc Edwards in a world of ‘me too’ musical acts, the duo have proved everyone wrong.
Gotye was so taken with their bootleg remix of Hearts a Mess that he snapped it up for his Mixed Blood compilation. The
album went on to win Gotye an ARIA for best male artist in 2008. Duosseudo’s electric touch and punchy remix work was
felt as far as France with Yelle, followed by Los Angeles with indie-Synth-poppers, Bird and the Bee and finally back to
our Australian shores, remixing the likes of Australian contemporaries, Bertie Blackman, Angus & Julia Stone and Paris Wells, to name a few.
Their 2008 debut, We Are One was released to a hungry crowd of toe-tappers. Twelve tracks that ranged from 80s inspired
electro pop to triple timed tech melodies, the album masterfully blended a juxtaposition of acid house nostalgia with a healthy, forward-thinking dose of relevance, whilst still paying homage to the days you use to get up early on a Saturday morning and watch the Transformers in your PJs.
After a short hiatus perfecting their sound, Duosseudo are back with the single, Turning Up Gold. Featuring the unique
vocals of Adam Ferns from Polygon Palace, the debut single from their forthcoming album (due out later in the year),
perfectly represents a delicate disco dynamic that is as internationally relevant as it is identifiably Australian.
To celebrate the release, Duosseudo have teamed up with colourful indie electro-popettes, Convaire and versatile virtuosos,
Canoe Merchants for remixing duties.
