Details:
Witch’s Mark started off as 5 eager Pagan’s out of https://www.tradebit.comderdale Florida who were looking to put together a small acoustical setup, which consisted of 4 Tribal Drummers and a Singer. This lasted about 4 practices, and Mannun having an itch for more energy grabbed Thelema & Morgaine (the singer at the time), and began putting together a 5-piece band in a humble little studio in his house. It wasn’t long before Witch’s Mark was 2-Guitarists, 2-Vocalists, a Bassist, a Keyboardist and a Drummer, making 7 members in all. The early journey for Witch’s Mark had begun, and the original idea was to be a Pagan Cover Band, playing all the Pagan based Cover tunes they could scrounge up. 6 months later with 40 Cover songs on their set list, they performed their first gig for about 50 people at a Yule Festival held in Davie Florida.
In their search for Pagan based music to cover for the masses, Mannun began to realize that there was very few Pagan Rock-N-Roll bands on the market. The majority of what was discovered was either acoustical Bardic/Renaissance style at one end of the spectrum, or its extreme opposite Death Metal Screamer bands on the other. There wasn’t much of a happy medium, an in-between that Pagans could enjoy, a little more excitement than the Bardic, yet not the complete Chaos of the Death Metal. Mannun powwowed with his band mates and laid it out on the proverbial Altar, about what they thought of changing directions and gearing towards an Original Pagan Rock band.
Soon after Morgaine sadly had to resign from Witch’s Mark, which left Rowan solo allowing her to spread her wings and really step up and broaden her talent as a Lead Vocalist. At this time Witch’s Mark was now left with 6 members, which quickly turned into 5 when Solar, the Lead Guitarist, walked leaving Mannun a Lead/Rhythm Guitarist, Thelema on Keyboards, Axium on Drums, Rowan Lead Vocals & Dylan on Bass. The Gods had forged the core Life Force of Witch’s Mark and they spent the next few years playing multiple Pagan festivals throughout North & South Florida. In 2008 Witch''s Mark produced & released their First album called Stone Soup, which consisted of 9 Songs. Keeping true to their original plan of writing songs about the Gods & Goddesses, Ritual & the Mysteries and Wonderments of the many Pagan lifestyles, Witch''s Mark began winning the ears and hearts of Pagans throughout the United States, Europe and Australia.
Unfortunately, in 2008 Dylan the Bassist had to leave Witch''s Mark do to circumstances beyond anyone’s control. Witch’s Mark quickly put out the feelers for a new Bassist. Finally, someone fit the bill to fill the void for the sadly missed Dylan, the only problem, he was a Lead Guitar player!!! Mannun realized the potential of this new sound and energy that would be adding to the bands Magick, and decided to fill the Bassist position himself and make room for the new Guitarist, Monad. Needless to say differences arose and Monad went his own way. Witch''s Mark began the search for a new Guitarist. After dozens of auditions and hours of pros & cons, Twyg arose from the aftermath hands down victorious. This completely changed the energy of Witch''s Mark 3-Fold, attracting bigger and better opportunities than ever before and allowing their creativity to flow unbounded opening up new ideas and avenues that could not have previously been explored.
Today, Witch''s Mark is stronger than ever and growing by leaps and bounds every time they hit the studio/stage.
