Rex Roberts, Film Journal International, New York City:
”I could say I hear echoes of Mark Knopfler, John Lennon, Elvis Costello in his music – and I do – but that would be unfair praise, because he has his own sound – original, sympatico. He’s an extraordinary musician, a superb guitarist and vocalist, but what impresses me are his lyrics, full of genuine feeling and sly wit ”
Andy, who lives in New York City, writing, recording and gigging, started playing guitar aged 7, when the guitar was bigger than him. He gave his 1st Classical Guitar concert aged 12, and later studied with Gordon Crosskey and John Williams at The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK.
Andy: "John was amazing, apart from his legendary talent he always encouraged us to do something new with the classical guitar...."
Student years in Manchester infused in Andy the urge to compose. He played many different guitar concerts, including the Royal Opera company''s production of ''Othello'', and Rodrigo''s ''Concierto de Aranuez'' with full orchestra. Whilst at college Andy formed a duo with fellow student Paul Dwyer begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting and and after graduating started gigging, and performing their own music all over the UK. They also played in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, Cyprus, Germany, Africa and Turkey.
Andy lived for several years in Turkey, both as a performer and in collaboration as arranger and writer with other artists.
Andy and Paul became the 1st English duo to release an album singing original self-penned songs in Turkish, and became a household name as EndiPoL in Turkey, with their own TV show, and reviews in Billboard magazine and National Press.
Andy is now based in NYC, writing even more fervently than ever, often traveling to perform in different parts of the US and abroad to present his highly distinctive sound and song collection to music lovers everywhere.
