Details:
Every Adams Wilson album has been an experiment in the creative process. "Irrelevant Truth***" was a musical sketchpad: written, recorded, and largely performed in a home studio by vocalist Adams Eberwein. Adams took his next project, "My Best Guess***" to a producer and a group of session musicians to get a big Philly studio sound. Adams Wilson the singer/songwriter then spent three years becoming Adams Wilson THE BAND... a group of four songwriters and arrangers who love Rock music in all its forms, and reveal that passion on "Everything We Know" through all-new Modern Rock jams, a Blues anthem, and a couple Alt-Country ballads.

Sure, that all sounds straightforward enough on paper, but the journey to a completed album was not so simple.

Just before"My Best Guess" was released in 2008, Adams (the guy) spent a few months playing coffee houses and trying to find musicians to both play his catalog of songs, and to collaborate with on new material. Adams found guitarist Matt Riley, drummer Josh Dubois, percussionist Ian Gattuso, and bassist Jason Rugel just in time for the album''s release party. The band then finished out the year finding their groove through playing dive bars and writing new songs. In early 2009, percussionist Ian Gattuso and his wife had a son and Ian left the band to spend more time at home.

The newly formed band (who had not settled on a name) spent 2009 creating a full album of new material in a friend''s project studio. Just as the band was about to release the album, drummer Josh Dubois moved out of Jersey and had to leave the group. The album, and the band, spent the next five months in limbo before connecting with new drummer Darren Darling. Darren brought his own energy and sound to the group (now officially named Adams Wilson), which revitalized many of the old tunes, causing the album to sound dated before it had even been released. So, in 2010, the unreleased album was shelved, and the decision was made to start from scratch.

A new album, of course, meant a new approach to recording. In the Summer of 2010, the band rented out an office in a large industrial park and spent the better part of six months re-working old songs and creating new ones. The energy must have been flowing, because, in a single weekend, "Wide Awake", "Somehow", "Another Night", "If You Wanna Run", "Find Myself Believing" and "Devil''s Wife" were written and added to the album''s tracklist. Vocalist Amy Hoffman (formerly Buckner), who had been featured on some "Irrelevant Truth***" tracks, returned to add supporting vocals on three songs. And new friend of the band John Cucetta was asked to add some vocal tracks as well. When the guys weren''t locked in the office, they were out playing street fairs and bars, trying to figure out what worked and what didn''t. A new sound was definitely emerging: grittier, more dynamic, and with a stronger Rock foundation.

Just before Thanksgiving of 2010, the band took the raw tracks to A Little Affair drummer/engineer Ryan Buzby for mixing and mastering. In the middle of the mixing process, Delaware radio station WSTW asked the band to contribute a Christmas song to a "Toys for Tots" charity compilation, and in less than two weeks, the band wrote, recorded, and sent in "Santa Met My Family (and He Took My Presents Back)***." A few weeks after Christmas, the mixes were complete, and the album was finally finished. Adams (the guy, not the band) then spent the next month and a half creating and assembling artwork that reflected the raw, collaborative energy of the band. And so, after three years of creating, scrapping, and re-creating, "Everything We Know" is finally ready to meet you.
