Luna D’ Lunes, has it’s beginnings, in the mid 90’s, in Caracas, Venezuela. Today’s members are; Nestor Nunez-bass/vocals, Harry Dornbush-guitar. Musicians, who come from different countries,& a wide array of musical influences ,forming the melting pot, that is now Luna D’ Lunes.
Nestor ,born in Cuba, earned his musical stripes in Puerto Rico, moving on to the States, & doing a stint, with the North Carolina band, Glass Moon. This venture, resulted in 2 albums, recorded at the prestigious, Electric Lady Studios, in New York, under the Atlantic Records umbrella .He then moves to Venezuela. Where he meets Harry ,of Colombian descent,& living in Caracas, forming the nucleus, of LDL.
Together, with a group of top notch, musicians, such as Luis Alvarado-guitars, Nelson Sarda-drums, Vicente Fernandez-keyboards, Pedro “Conan” Rodriguez-drums, they record, their first CD, titled “Dejate Hechizar”, containing 11 original songs in English & Spanish
After working, around the country & recording a second, promotional CD, with 5 songs in English, they share the stage, as opening act, for the Mexican group, Mana in Caracas. Shortly thereafter, the band takes a hiatus, do to various personal reasons, ending 2008.
LDL, resumes its activities, in Miami.
Today LDL, is currently working on their next musical endeveaor . Nestor’s ideas, now find a more mature Harry, on guitar & composition, , create, a singular & original, style of music.
The band will soon promote shows to support their new material ,so be on the look out for Luna D’ Lunes
