Details:
This album features music from the first two years of Jeffrey Carter''s tenure as Artistic Director of the Gateway Men''s Chorus, a group that one reviewer recently called "an increasingly esteemed ensemble." Emotional centerpieces of the album are "The Parade" from "Flashpoint:Stonewall" by Roger Bourland; the group''s first big commission, "Rise Above the Walls" by Greg Gilpin (now published by Hal Leonard); and the closing track, a medley of love songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals.

The album is purposefully campy at times, with "If you were gay" from "Avenue Q" and a trio of 1960''s teen pop idol covers. Several songs pay tribute to Judy Garland as well, and are culled from the chorus'' "JUDY!" show.
