Veteran Hawaii-based session keyboard player and jazz musician, Glen Goto has just released a new CD entitled, “We Go To Hilo”. Glen states, “the music is basically soulful, jazz-influenced R & B - with a local twist... heartfelt stories about my long-overdue return to the Big Island of Hawaii.” The songwriter’s project features an all-star cast of studio musicians and vocalists: Garin Poliahu (drums), David Choy (saxes), Bin Yasuno (guitar), Randy Lorenzo (vocals), Rachel Gonzales (vocals) and Zanuck Kapala Lindsey (vocals).
Glen received his formal musical education at Boston’s Berklee College of Music but clarifies that “the true, hands-on learning came from actually working with dynamic, listening musicians... both live and in the recording studio.”
As a sideman, Glen has worked with a multitude of international and Hawaii-based artists.....
