This is the Electric Magic Sideshow and this is Rock and Roll the way it''s supposed to be. An over the top spectacle at it''s finest. A typical Sideshow performance is comprised of catchy, melodic, guitar-driven songs pushed to the limits by an outstanding, energetic performance. The evening is filled with all the smoke, explosions, flames and lights your senses can handle. Love them or hate them, you will not and can not ignore them.
Formed in New York City, the Electric Magic Sideshow first focused on builing up a dedicated and loyal fan base by saturating the clubs of the tri-state area surrounding their hometown. It was at these clubs that the Sideshow quickly earned a reputation for performances that were better suited to an arena than the clubs. It wasn''t long before radio stations such as Michigan''s WIMK & WUPK, California''s KNAC, and the NY/NJ area stations WRAT & WDHA caught on to the buzz the band was generating The new found interest opened the door for the Sideshow to build a national fan base by taking their show on the road. Various newspapers, magazines, and websites support the band as well. The sky is the limit and they''ve only just begun.
The Ringmaster of this Rock and Roll circus is lead vocalist/bass guitarist Billy May. Your eyes will be glued to him as you follow him here, there, and everywhere across the stage. He is the King, the Queen, and all that is in between. His job is to make your Rock and Roll fantasies come to life and he never fails. As a matter of fact, nobody does it better.
From the gutter to the stage comes rhythm guitarist/vocalist John Churchill. He is the living essence of the Rock and Roll lifestyle. When you watch him on stage you won''t be able to help but wonder if somewhere behind those dark sunglasses John''s blood shot eyes are watching your every move.
Carl Garcia handles lead guitar and vocal duties for the Sideshow. Bringing a gothic element to the band, Carl prefers to do most of his talking with his hands. When you hear him play, you''ll feel not only as if he is channeling all his emotions through his guitar but those of the audience as well.
Rounding out the band''s line up on drums is John Ostrosky. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, John is a multi-talented musician who is also an accomplished guitarist and bassist. Although his appearance may seem to
be not of this world, John finds himself right at home behind the drums with the Sideshow.
Collectively these four unique personalities create a place of belonging for fans to become one with the Electric Magic Sideshow. Each member of the audience is able to identify with or relate to their favorite member of the band. There is something or someone in the Sideshow for everyone. The crowd is just as much a part of the Sideshow as the band members themselves. After all, it''s great fans that make great bands.
It''s been long overdue for Rock Stars to make a return to the stage and the Electric Magic Sideshow is proudly leading the way.
