Hadi Salia AKA Hadi Ahmed was born in a small Nubian village North of Sudan called Sawarda, here in this land of ancient cultures the Nubians have been at home since prehistoric times. The Nubians continually absorbed alien influences into their language and customs.
Hadi started his career as a composer and songwriter in the Nubian Language, in his music he represents traditional instruments (such as the Kisir, Oud and tar) combined with western instruments.
Hadi has produced four albums containing traditional Nubian songs, as well as songs against human rights violations.
Hadi has participated and performed in numerous theatres and festivals reflecting Nubian music and cultures; some highlights include the Harbour front Centre Toronto Canada on WOMAD Festival, Royal Museum Toronto ,Oriental Institute Museum Chicago, Smithsonian Museum Washington DC,
And the African live Music festival (Afrofest) Toronto Canada
Hadi resides in Virginia performs in clubs, communities celebrations and national days in Washington DC area and other states.
