Manish Anand (Oddme) was born in India of Punjabi Indian descent his parents migrated in the US in the early 70’s. During the Teenage years, Manish picked up the guitar messed around nothing too serious in playing he was in his Metal phase listening to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. After finally passing High School, Manish went for his Associates at a local Community College got a degree in Communications. Manish was an avid Music attic all he did in his spare time is to buy and listen all kinds of music.
He volunteered at NJN Radio in 1991-1992 had his own Electronic Dance Show during that time he met Steve Mr. Miami O’Neil who was a local DJ from Philly had an opportunity to cut some demo at Steve’s studio. After a few experimental test songs Manish accomplished he was referred to a Recording Studio call Polygon operated by Rob Federici also met a fellow engineer Tom Ackley. Now Manish’s adventure begins in Music Production from 1995 till now. In 1997 Manish released his first DJ House Record call DJ Oddme “Journey to Bhangra” for promotional copies to Club DJ’s. He experimented with Club, House, Techno, Breaks, Jungle, Ambient, and Industrial. During those times Manish teamed up with his good friend Chris “Subject” English to form a group call Beatlevel which was their side project mostly producing House music engineered by Tom Ackley fellow friend of the “Oddme” Beatlevel had two of their releases with TKC Music for “Palest Dark” and “Black Heart”
“Palest Dark” was collaboration with Manish’s friend Karen Updike who wrote and was the lead vocalist. Karen was playing the Female vocalist for a few other tunes with Beatlevel .
During the Music thing, Manish decided to get married around late 1998 arranged… He had a daughter in 2000. In that time during Marriage 2001 Manish released his 1st CD DJ Oddme mostly was produced in his computer with some additional tracks from Polygon Sessions. Fall of 2008 Manish released his 2nd Oddme “Thank You Man” more of a vocal based than beat tracks he has written he was the producer and played little keyboards with the help of Tom Ackley who played keyboards and engineered the album. Also with Tom’s help did a few music videos which are on https://www.tradebit.com.
Life has its challenges and now Manish’s personal life was on the rocks marriage was going into a divorce and got laid off from his job. 2010, He got inspired to get back in Music got back in picking up a guitar and did a Promo EP call “Dance with Me” which Manish worked with Rob Federici who played lead guitar on all of the songs and Rob Engineered and Mastered the CD.
2011, Manish started to release some of his older tracks from 1997 till now into one album. He went and worked with Rob and got it Mastered and released his 3rd official CD Oddme “2050 India”
This is more of a Beat record hard pounding beats, but at the end of the disc a few new tunes Manish wrote and sang all the vocals..
