SPLINTER MIDDLETON
Influenced by the simplistic nature of Hank Williams'' writing style, Willie Nelson, and Harlan Howard, Splinter Middleton began to write his own songs as early as 12 years old. When legendary Country Music Hall of Fame artist Mel Till heard Splinter''s original songs in 2003, he offered Splinter a sought after spot in his publishing company, Sand Cut Songs.
Splinter''s self penned album, "Dreams Come True" is full of originality and style. Every song, from the witty" Tin Can" about a couple happily living in a mobile home, to the wistfulness of "Here Comes the Loneliness" is packed full of fiddle and steel guitar.
Shortly after landing a publishing deal, Splinter got together with songwriter Dave Kirby, most known for writing "Is Anybody Going to San Antone", "Gene Watson''s "Memories to Burn" and "No Good Chain Gang" for Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. Splinter co wrote with Dave, the last song the legendary songsmith would ever write.
This song will be on Splinter''s next album along with a tribute in Dave''s memory. No doubt after hearing Splinter''s music, you will understand exactly why he is turning heads in the music industry.
