Even when you are all grown up it is never too late to chase your dreams. That’s how Nashville got Tracy Meyer with the debut album Deep in the Heart of Love.
This Northwest Iowa farm girl pours herself into her work. “If I didn’t feel like I had something to bring to the table I wouldn’t be here,” she says. The music is true and real to her and others as she feels every note deep within her soul. “It is so important for me to feel what I am singing,” Tracy shares. “And I want my audience to feel the same.”
As this new Americana artist puts guts into her songs a new fun beat has emerged and will make you want to sing along. “It doesn’t even matter what mood you are in, the music is always there and it consoles the soul,” she says.
Belting out from her background
Tracy, a once dainty, shy little girl, found that her inhibitions would melt away at the chance to sing and perform. From microphone pencil performances for Grandma and Grandpa, to a 14-year-old singer with a teenage rock band, Tracy’s heart has been on fire for music from the beginning.
After years of belting out pop rock, jazz, and blues, Tracy now hangs on to her notes to deliver a new twist to the Americana music scene.
It’s time for Tracy
The debut of her music career couldn’t be timelier. “I wouldn’t have wanted this 20 years ago,” Tracy admits. Along with her husband Todd, raising her three children – Iesha, 21, Colton, 19, and Kinsey 15, has been the top priority. “But there is something in my heart that says now is the time,” Tracy reveals. “My parents taught me to go after my dreams, to be a leader and to give back to others out of what I have been given.”
Now, Universal Platinum Plus offers artist Tracy Meyer with Deep in the Heart of Love.
The life that makes the music
Training and showing her horses, Max, a registered paint and Shy, a quarter horse, is yet another love of Tracy’s. With a Master’s in Equestrian Studies from a private university back East, she enjoys her horses immensely.
Tracy has worked in marketing and sales for over 20 years and is currently a sales executive for Web Graphics Inc.
