The music is sometimes lively so that you can’t help but dance, sometimes mellow and gentle like a daydream in the warm afternoon sun, but always enchanting and captivating. With violin, maccaferri-style acoustic guitars, and upright bass, The Fedora Club play authentic gypsy jazz and swing. Jonathan is an experienced Calgary musician and a longtime member of other Calgary musical staples, The Plaid Tongued Devils and The Rembetika Hipsters. Victor performs regularly as a freelancer, but is also renown for his repair and restoration of fretted stringed instruments. Tim Campbell is a regular freelancer in Calgary, and a busy teacher on staff at Mount Royal Conservatory. Richard Erickson is the newest member of The Fedora Club. He is definitely among Calgary’s jazz illuminati, as well as preforming with rock/pop/funk band, Forty Five.
