Details:
I have been working as an ethnomusicologist in East Africa since ''98 and have come across some amazing musicians and ensembles over the years. Muyangu is by far the most exciting that I have encountered and it was an honor to work with them. This album was recorded in the home of Yona Ngobito on December 2, 2010 in Iyumbu Village just outside Dodoma, Tanzania. We had to secure the corrugated metal roof with extra rocks to keep it from creaking in the wind.

A hard copy CD of this album has been made for Muyangu to sell in East Africa. All profits from the digital sales generated will be donated to the ensemble for development projects in their village. Video footage of Muyangu can be viewed on my YouTube page: https://www.tradebit.com

Enjoy!
