About Tony Amodio:

Tony (real name is Antonio) was born in Castellammare di Stabia (South Italy) in 1985.
He loved music since he was a child.
He started his music study at the age of 8.
From 1993 to 1996, he studied acting, vocal, and classical guitar in Naples.
In 1998 he started playing electric bass and created a pop band named Sottopalco, in which he was the singer and bass player. They participated various important music competitions and festivals around Italy such as Suoni dal Vesuvio, Musica in Liberta’ and San Marino festival.
In 2001 they won the Tim Tour Festival in Naples and went to the music show Bande Sonore as guests hosted by Red Ronnie (both aired on Italian national TV Italia 1).
In 2002, they went back to the second season of Tim Tour but this time as guests.
In 2003, Tony and Sottopalco band recorded one CD named “Negli occhi di un bambino” and the revenue from the sale of the CD went to an Italian charity AMREF to help African children.
In 2004, Tony sent some of his songs to the actor-singer-arranger-producer Manuel De Peppe (https://www.tradebit.com) in the USA.
De Peppe was so impressed by Tony’s work and he decided to work with him.
Tony started playing bass in some of Manuel’s productions in the USA.
In 2005, Tony wrote the Italian lyrics for the song “Love Brings Us Back Around” originally performed by Al Jarreau and James Ingram for the Rick Lawson CD and the title is “Cuore nel cuore” performed from Manuel De Peppe.
Tony also started collaborating with many more music professionals such as Carlo Gargioni, the producer of Ornella Vanoni, Fabio Concato and Angelo Branduardi.
In 2005, Tony became involved with the 80’s popular band BEE HIVE as a bassist for the reunion tour (Manuel is the drummer of the band. Bee Hive became famous in the cult Italian TV Series “Love me Licia” and they sold 400.000 albums in Italy between 1986-1988).
In 2006 he composed a soundtrack for an Italian short film named “Luce Nell’Ombra” directed by Fabio Massa. (https://www.tradebit.com) produced by Sogno Cinematografico production of Naples. This film participated in different international short film festivals with great critical success.
Manuel De Peppe sent Tony to intensive training in electric bass with Massimo Moriconi in Rome and in vocal with Eloisa Francia in Milan.
In 2006 he recorded his first solo CD named “Déjà vu” produced by Manuel De Peppe for Manuel De Peppe Entertainment of New York and distributed worldwide by Super D Phantom USA, CD BABY and I TUNE.
The CD, recorded and mixed in New York, Milan and Naples, contains songs in Spanish, Italian, English and Turkish and also attached the DVD with the single music videos.
At the present Tony lives between Rome and New York.
