Born in the northeast during the genesis of the Hip Hop movement, mackthedj has seen changes. Mr. Magic late nights on WBLS and the early commercial success of Sugar Hill. RUN-DMC and Jam Master Jay bringing Hip Hop world wide. Good times with The Fat Boys and style with Whodini. NWA introducing the world to Dr. Dre, one of the greatest producers the movement has ever produced.
Making a move to the southern US, mack began to write and perform with MC EZ Street and recorded The Drop, an EP with a combination of socially aware lyrics and club beats.
Now residing in the northwest, mack is working on his first solo project, originally scheduled for release November 2006. As a prelude to the full length vocal project he’s released this instrumental album, Incomplete Prelude, a mix of hip hop and house beats with turntable acrobatics throughout.
