Details:
As predicted on Mose The Third''s debut album, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY, the powers that be have fallen by the wayside. Major label artists are scrambling to find formulas, techniques and guest appereances to combat the decline in record sales. More than ever, major label artists are voicing their displeasure with the industry that programs the minds of listeners through radio, television and print each day. Never has there been a more important time for independent artists as now...

His Second album, DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, provides the impact of one the biggest and best albums to be released this year. His mixtape, SOMEWHERE BETWEEN CHURCH AND THE BAR, received rave reviews from critics and listeners.

"What I wanted to do and prove is that I could make a quality album without the powers that be and still put out heartfelt material without the politics and big budget." This album is an independent work of art that is better than most albums by major label rappers with large budgets. I wanted to show any aspiring emcee that you can make quality music on your own without begging for acceptance or help from any one."

This is the story behind the making of the album...

Summer 2003- I was discouraged because I wanted to make music that Hiphop fans and lovers of music would enjoy. Not only them, but also I wanted to relate to anyone that is bogged down by their everyday struggle. From the emcee in the basement to the mother trying to raise her kids to the father trying to do the best for his seeds, but keeps getting discouraged by the harsh realities of life. However, the mass public was content with ignorance. I contemplated ending my run as an emcee. I spent time pondering where to place my energy because I couldn''t think of any thing that I''d rather do than emcee and reflect Hiphop in my daily dealings.
Fall 2003-I went over to .org''s crib and recorded "Step Your Game Up." I never intended to make an album. I just wanted to record a song. I usually take beats and marinate with them before writing, but I wrote that on the spot and just sat on it.
Winter 2003- I did an interview with https://www.tradebit.com, Steve Julien really looked out for me and "Social Responsibility" took off. My mix tape "Somewhere Between Church And The Bar" was grabbing attention. My dad died Winter of 2002 and around this time in 2003, despite the success of "Social Responsibility" and "Somewhere Between Church And The Bar" I dropped in to a deep depression. It was hard for me to focus on anything. I remember drinking to the point that the most time I went without getting fucked up was two days. But, I remember knocking on his casket three times and telling him that I would make him proud with my rhymes. I got some beats, then decided to make an EP.
Winter 2004-I prayed late one night and asked God to please show or tell me if it was destined for me to continue rhyming. The next morning, I received a call from this producer named Fowl and told him my plans for an LP. I went through his crib and he played the beats that would be the bulk of the album. He came through for me with serious tracks. He laced me with tracks that the majors wanted and he declined.
Next, I called .org and asked if he was down to make one of the best albums that could be made. I think he thought I was on some bullshit cuz he nonchalantly said "Sure." But, I was certain that I could put out one of this year''s best albums and that was my goal.
Spring 2004-On my way to work one morning, I pulled over on the side of the road in tears. I felt like I wasn''t doing what God had planned for me. Never had it been so clear in my mind that emceeing is what I wanted to do for a living. I didn''t know where this album would take me, but I knew I was miserable when I wasn''t working on it. Grinning and bearing it was not an option. I began to fall out with a lot of people during the making of this album. When I say DECLERATION OF INDEPENDENCE, that was my mentality. I wanted to do nothing, but focus on this album. I didn''t even tell my nikas til it was halfway done. My nika, MADMAN!, gave a lot of constructive criticism during the process and I love him for that. I''ve risked a lot of things while making this album, but I didn''t believe that I would make it this far just to fail and I wouldn''t allow myself to do so. Saying my back was to the wall is an understatement.
Early Summer 2004-I had what I felt was a quality album, but there was a track called "I''m Here" that needed a female voice as did other tracks. Monique, who sang on the "Social Responsibility" album was down to add that element. Unfortunately, she was on her way to meet me and was involved in a car accident. I felt responsible and started questioning my purpose again because I felt at fault. A lot of scheduling conflicts followed. I didn''t have anyone to sing on the album. I felt like it would be incomplete without that female presence on those songs.
I''m over my nika Grizz''s Crib and I meet Zerrin. She says she sings and does the damn thing! The album is complete. Next, the anticipation for this album is high, but I had gone broke making it. So, I have this album and have run out of resources to promote it. The Lord works in mysterious ways...
Late Summer 2004-I played the album for Fowl and he disapproved. We had creative differences and parted ways. I felt disrespected. I will never let any one disrespect my creative integrity. He got his beats back and I got my money back. We have parted ways and I respect him for his beliefs, but I''m always going to do what I feel is right for my situation.

I ran into Pugz the same day who gave me V-TraxXx'' number and I set up something for the next day. My manager, DA ADMIRAW was able to link me up with Emmaculate who laced me with heat! Jackie, who was my home girl since high school lended her vocals at the last minute. Thank You Jacks. Through Emmaculate I met J.U.I.C.E who showed love on the album despite his hectic schedule. I appreciate all of those involved in the re-creation of this album. It has been a struggle. Imagine having to re-do an album 3 weeks before the final version is to be sent off that has to top what you felt was your best. But, the producers on this new version shit on the previous version and helped me to bring to you my DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE...RISE WITH ME...Much success to everyone pursuing their dreams...

Now that you are Socially Responsible are you ready to free yourself mentally, physically and spiritually to Declare Your Independence?
