This album took a few years to record, the first demo titled Chimes was recorded in 2007 which was never released eventually evolved into what is now The Alchemist. Other songs such as The Twisted Flute were just recorded straight from the mind as nothing was ever wrote down regarding this track. Breakdown and Mellow Out were originally recorded as one track in early 2010 but had no title. The magician was recorded originally to be in a set of songs that were comical toward family jokes it was liked so much though that the track was re done to make it better.
