Gérard LECLERC was born in San Francisco. His teachers were Bonnie Hampton, Margaret Rowell, Pierre Fournier and Jacqueline du Pré. This cellist is much appriciated in the USA as in Europe where plays with pianist Muriel Slatkine and as soloist with orchestra. He records regularly for radio and television and his last CD included the Concertos of Alan Ridout, recorded with the English Chamber Orchestra.
Gérard LECLERC plays on a cello by Giovanni Cavani dated 1883 and lives in Geneva Switzerland.
Muriel SLATKINE studied with Louis Hiltbrandt, Alfred Cortot, Guido Agosti and Richard Hauser at the ''Académie de Vienne''
She has won many concours, such as the Concours Viotti in Italy, 1st prize ''Rudolph Ganz'' in Lausanne and has played in many european countries, and has been the duo partner of Gérard Leclerc since 1982. Her discography includes works by Mozart, Schubert, Chopin Schumann, Brahms, Debussy, Stravinsky...........
