BIOGRAPHY - FRANK DELEON
Being from a musical family and a love for music at a young age of 4, Frank DeLeon started playing the drums. Adding the keyboard and bass to his percussion he started playing professionally at age 9 with his family and at age eleven, alongside his mother, Ruth DeLeon, in many restaurants and clubs in Dallas, Texas.
Perfecting his talents over his childhood years he began composing at age 14 and furthering his education by majoring in the School of Music at The University of North Texas in Denton.
Over the years recorded and traveled with groups from Country to Jazz. Played with Sixflags orchestra for three seasons, in the early 70’s and studio sessions with various artists. Played a promotional function at the Grand Ole Opry Hotel at Opry Land, Nashville, TN, in 1978
Working with the Dallas and Ft. Worth Symphony players, Frank played in a special performance with the Dallas Symphony, at the Meyerson in 2005.
Opened for some groups and some celbrities such as Dionne Warwick, Nell Carter, Sandy Duncan and along with various T.V. performances bringing his songs:
"A Change In The Weather" and "March Of The Waltzing Mice"
up for Grammy voting in 2003.
