Vernon Ray grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, attended Macalester College, The University of Minnesota, and graduated with a Liberal Arts Degree from Metropolitan State University. He has enjoyed working in the educational profession with children for over 25 years, while continuing to nurture his passion for music through singing, dancing, and playing the piano. Vernon Ray began his educational journey by working hard and striving for academic excellence. During these pursuits, he began writing seasonal songs. "Merry Christmas to You" was the first. Later it was compiled into his first CD entitled "Give Me Some Christmas". All accomplishments were a result of faith, patience, and hard work. He owes many thanks to family, supporters, his friends and especially to Effie Clemons who has on numerous occasions, assisted and encouraged him throughout his many endeavors.
