Details:
Jim and Inge Wood carry you on a brilliant musical journey of fiddle music and song. Jim, one of the most decorated contest-style fiddlers ever, is the only five-time Tennessee State Fiddle Champion. A twenty-eight year veteran of the professional Nashville music scene and a talented multi-instrumentalist in a wide range of styles, Jim’s roots go to the core of traditional music. Inge, a native of Costa Rica, is his perfect foil with her pure, unaffected vocals in both English and Spanish and her world-class accompaniment on guitar and bouzouki. Their chemistry is undeniable.

Inge and I have available now our new live CD, In Concert: September 24, 2005, which we recorded at the South Jackson Civic Center in Tullahoma, Tennessee. We are really excited about this recording and consider it our best work to date. We have presented the concert in its entirety in the order it happened that night, and we now have a CD that represents our eclectic live show with all its different styles of tunes and songs and our really cool collection of instruments. This live CD is the culmination of five years of road testing our material and presentation, and we feel that it represents a new level for us. For all the possibilities that the studio offers, there is no substitute for the energy and edge that performing for a live audience creates, and we wanted to present an honest-to-goodness snapshot of how musicians and an audience can achieve a synergistic relationship. This was the most challenging project that Inge or I have ever tackled, but it has proven to be the most satisfying work that I have ever done.
Peace,
Jim Wood
