"Country Matters
A hard thing for city folk to understand
Country Matters
There''s more than a highway cutting through the land
Shortest way from here to there
Maybe ain''t the way that you need
And things keep cropping up
Because we plant the seed
Country Matters indeed"
This CD is an assortment of 12 roots and blues tunes. The songs deal with a wide range of emotions and situations - from the sublime to the ridiculous. There are love songs, lack-of-love songs, unrequited love songs, kiss-off songs, and a pair of songs which tell the same story from two perspectives.
All piano parts, arranging & sequencing by Doug Jamieson. The CD was recorded in Eden Mills, Ontario in 2004-2005, using Logic Platinum for Windows on a Pentium III. Any digital media used is primarily from Drums on Demand. The songs were mixed by Doug Jamieson and mastered by J. Richard Hutt of Cedartree Studio (519-748-5810), Kitchener, Ontario.
