traditional country and modern country rock - from the heart of a country boy who''s lived it.

11 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Rock, COUNTRY: Country Blues

Details:
richard murrey has danced all over the genre floor with numerous lyrical and musical lovers. country being one of them... and probably the oldest of his flames. going back to the days when his folks, bill and rose would have the opry and wsm piped into the farmhouse on a regular basis. growing up 50 miles north of nashville helped to hone that appreciation for fine tunesmithing also... so enjoy this collection of hand-picked favorites by richard and guys in chevy ford... they helped to bring them life. once again, the cream of the vocal talent in nashville breaks out on these songs, produced as always by steven cooper. 11 songs, just outside of nashville. a short description follows:

"you can''t dance"... you finally get to civilization, have a cold one, and fall in love with the one gal in the place... that can''t dance... she''s working! sung by glenn mayo.

"acoustic in the dark"... ever move away from "home" and realize you left everything that was anything to you? lance miller tells us about it.

"honkytonk daddy"... there''s a reason why that old drunk in the corner strikes you as so familiar. ray barnette sings it to us.

"take the love"... might as well cut my heart out and take that too. bubba hudson sings about the pain of love withering on the vine.

"i''m done"... one of those nights, too much music, too much booze, too much fun! can you have too much of that? vocals by lance miller.

"a bar with no mirrors"... think about how hard it is to find a bar that doesn''t have mirrors!? ray barnette & juli manners tells us why it''s important.

"livin'' the lyric"... a sort of tribute song to merle haggard, un-named "hero" of sorts to many americans... and should be to many more! j.d. coe does it justice.

"more than a friend"... when she needs something she calls, when she''s in trouble, she calls... but she doesn''t realize you''re the one she needs? j.d. coe makes it believable.

"honkytonk soul"... singin'' all the great songs like you heard them, but not like you''ve lived them... a big difference and glenn mayo educates us on that.

"open your arms"... missing that lover, been away for awhile, no matter why, just glad to have her back. j.d. coe sings.

"too good for the radio"... might be that some songs are just too good to be on the radio because they expose the hypocracy and stupidity of the commercial music scene. lance miller sings about it.

the chevy ford band consist of:
bubba hudson - vocals, guitar
jeff jordan - lead guitar
richard murrey - bass
steven cooper - keys/drums
tony paoletta - steel guitar
