BLUES: Rockin'' Blues, ROCK: Classic Rock

Details:
THE CROSSROADS bring all the power needed to drive any Blues Lover into “nirvana.” Strong gravel-mouthed vocals, screamin’ lead and slide guitar, all backed by stompin’ beats, poundin’ bass, and awesome B3: that’s THE CROSSROADS’ true Blues recipe. With Sink Or Swim flowin’ from the Funk of “On The Cross,” and Chicago Shuffle of “She Lies,” to the Ballad of “I Cry,” the Raggae of “When You Fall,” and Dobro on “Amazing Grace,” the Blues drip off these guys like hot sauce at a BBQ. When it is considered that the lyrics come from a Christian perspective, the music is all the more moving, for where else can one hear “The Blues” bring the Good News?

The guys are from the home of Rock ''n’ Roll, Cleveland, Ohio, where they often called the famed “Agora Ballroom” home. Steve is the lead guitarist, author, and composer of most of the Band’s material. Steve’s brother, Bryan, is the bassist and driver of the rhythm section. The brothers have been playin’ Blues and Classic Rock together “forever,” along with Johnny P, a life-long friend and the heart of the Band’s strong beats. JP (John Piascik), a Vic Firth stick endorser (see web site), is a most accomplished drummer, who spent more than a decade in Nashville gigging, touring, and recording with major Country stars such as David Frizzell and Dana Williams (of Diamond Rio).

Randall is the very “heart” of the Band, his strong and raspy vocals, masterful stage presence, and over-all personality projecting power and experience. He truly knows how to put Blues Flavor into the lyrics. Randall is also quite a songwriter in his own right, as one can tell from his title track on the group’s first release: “Lost Nation.”

The Sink Or Swim release also features the incredible Hammond B3 talents of long-time member and band leader of The Buddy Miles Express: Mark Leach a/k/a “Muggie Doo.” You’ll never hear better piano and organ, ever! Tracking was done at the legendary SUMA Recording Studios in Painesville, Ohio (where most all of Grand Funk Railroad''s Gold records were recorded), with additional work at The Hit Factory-Criteria Studios, Miami, Echo Beach Studios, Florida, Pacifica Studios, Cleveland, and mastering at Abbey Road Studios, London.

Think Blues/Rock Greats Billy Gibbons (ZZTop), Eric Clapton, Elmore James, SRV, Bo Diddley, and Bob Seger: if you don’t hear them in this Band, you’re deaf!
