Creed Country is a Christian Country band that was founded in 1994. Four musicians that have come together to serve God with the music He has given them. Brett Wall handles Lead Vocals, Bass Guitar and Songwriting duties for the band. Harold Bell plays Lead Guitar and sings background vocals. Keith Miller plays drums and sings back up. Gary Jordan plays rhythm Guitar, Harmonica and sings back up.
Creed Country blends Traditional and Modern Country sounds to create a unique flavor of Country Music. Styles as varied as Country, Rock and Jazz come together to create a sound that can only be called, Creed Country.
Throughout their seven years together they have played numerous concerts, churches, coffee houses and various other venues. Seeing the effect their songs have on their audiences first hand has been a blessed experience for the band. From the beginning of Creed Country, their goals have remained the same, to see lives touched by the music God has given them.
MEMBERS
Brett Wall - Lead and Backup Vocals, Bass Guitar, Keyboards and Additional Lead Guitar. From the time he was a small boy growing up in Austin , Texas , Brett Wall has had three goals. They were to write, sing and perform Christian music. He started out as a child singing in concerts and church services where his parents were performing. He would get up with his brothers and sing one or two songs. When the family was home the brothers would sing specials at their Grandpa''s Church. Brett wrote his first song when he was a teenager, and has since written a few hundred songs. As far as musical influences go, Brett cites his parents as his biggest influences. His mother is an accomplished Piano player and Singer. His father is a singer, songwriter and guitar player. Other influences have come from a variety of styles as diversified as rock, country, jazz and gospel. Lately the styles of George Strait , Garth Brooks , Diamond Rio, and Brooks and Dunn have influenced his writing styles. Though he says he didn''t do very well in English classes in High School, Brett leans heavily on Philippians 4:13. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
Keith Miller - Drums and Percussion, Backup Vocals. Keith Miller hails from Pontiac , Michigan . He was raised in the Roman Catholic Church, but says he lacked the personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In 1980 he accepted Christ as his Personal Savior. Although he grew up on the music of the late 60''s and early 70''s listening to his older siblings records, and playing in different rock and roll bands, he never felt like that was where he was supposed to use his talents. Keith then realized his musical talents were to be used for the glory of God and the furthering of His Kingdom. Keith''s early influences are Ringo Starr and Keith Moon. His father played an early roll in Keith''s musical life by encouraging him to play the drums while he played the piano.
Harold Bell - Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Dobro, Backup Vocals, occasional Lead Vocals. Harold Bell was raised in a Christian home. He say''s his dad was a deacon in every church they ever attended. Harold''s mother wanted him to play cello, but was ok with his desire to play guitar. He began playing guitar in church when he was just fourteen years old. He has played in church ever since. Harold first recorded at the age of twenty-three in a local studio with many different Christian Country artist. Harold says, "I thank God he saved me as a child and gave me the ability to play guitar for His glory."
Gary Jordan - Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica, Backup Vocals, occasional Lead Vocals. Gary Jordan was born in Arizona and moved to California when his parents migrated west. He was then raised and educated in Central California . He became a Christian at the early age of seven. At the age of twelve he picked up the harmonica and guitar soon after. After graduating high school he began working in Gospel music, only to be drafted into the military three years later. After his discharge from the army Gary received his minister''s license. He has continued in gospel music and church work ever since.
